INFORMATION
Riko Tanemura is outwardly perfect and should want for nothing.

The heiress to Umetane, a large family-owned corporation which sells and manufactures products related to plums (such as plum juice, plum wine, and umeboshi), Riko was taught by her parents from a very young age that she had absolutely no value to them if she was not going to play the role of perfect daughter. As such, she was forced to mature early and excels in every social sphere: she is beautiful, patient, disciplined, performs well in school, and often does the work of her teachers. Riko has a reputation among her peers as being a kind and dependable disciplinary committee president, though she is also distant and unapproachable. As her Wiki says, her measured tone and reserved demeanor make her seem like someone who is completely detached from personal connections. Those who are given the rare occasion to speak with her directly may find that she speaks very harshly and strategically of adults around her in terms of alliances, betrayals, and value — yet she is also kind and self-sacrificing, pushing others away from her problems in favor of dealing with everything herself.

In reality, Riko desperately craves unconditional love and validation — she simply gave up on it as she grew up and accepted the lack of desire that other people forced upon her. After acknowledging her own deep-seated unhappiness, and that there was always someone who cared about her, she awakens to her Persona and discovers a new resolve for life.

Her Persona is Chiyome. Her Phantom Thief codename is Wind.

PREFERRED THREADS
Mostly just voicetesting right now! I'd prefer to keep things to texting but I can switch to an action thread if we click. Potential hooks for your character: she is coordinating some kind of event between their schools; she is in the middle of some kind of photoshoot or event where she is promoting Umetane products on TV; she has called you in to address a complaint about your behavior or someone else's behavior; anything else that might be appropriate for a rich 17-year-old girl who can call for a chauffeur when she needs one.

SHIPPING & SMUT
I'm not really playing Riko for ships, but if it comes up, she's OTA, with a strong F/F lean and a preference for age-appropriate ships within the Persona universe. Dynamics that I think would be interesting: Mitsuru (similar rich girl ice queen with CEO daddy issues), Yukiko (elegant perfect Japanese girl exteriors), Makoto (analytical student council presidents), Yusuke (their Phantom Thief outfits and aesthetics match and I think she'd be surprisingly indulgent of his flaws), and Shoki (they're just super hot together and have similar problems, but I also ship Shoki with Daichi, so there is that).

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE
Yes, absolutely, but check in with me before doing anything serious.

MINDREADING
I would actually prefer to avoid this with Riko, but I can swing it if it's absolutely necessary for your character to read her mind. She's incredibly calm, level-headed, and quick on the uptake.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS
Had a very cold upbringing which has contributed to the iciness of her personality. She has a lot of issues around feeling worthy of unconditional love in particular. That being said, she's much more stable after awakening to her Persona, and her innermost insecurities are unlikely to come up in conversation with your character. She tends to outwardly brush it off even when people directly confront her about her lack of trust.

No problem. I tend to drop threads whenever I think the conversation is winding down, though — always feel free to poke me into continuing a thread again if you had something planned.

I am generally a slow RPer, as a word of warning. While I can turn tags around in a day or two sometimes, you can more often expect me to take anywhere between 1-2 weeks for a tag.

I just like Riko a lot because she is so impossibly calm and collected that she adapts to the Metaverse in about two seconds and accompanies her Phantom Thief group, strategizing for them, through an entire Palace without a fully awakened Persona... she's just built different... my queen...
